​"All The Way Home" tells the story of Amy, a girl who walks home from her city school for the first time by herself. Along the way, she meets familiar neighborhood people, and each of whom gives her something for her journey home. This coming-of-age story is illustrated with detailed line drawings and sketches of Amy and city scenes. It encourages a young reader's imagination, self-confidence, and sense of belonging. "All The Way Home" portrays a diverse urban community, complete with guardian angels.
